The Matrix 4 gets title, footage at CinemaCon

Soon, it will be time to re-enter The Matrix.

The fourth installment of the iconic and divisive sci-fi series is coming this December.

We still now very little about the movie itself, but a few key details have been confirmed, and at CinemaCon recently the flick's title has been revealed.

Some surprise footage was also exclusively shown to attendees.

The Matrix Resurrections, as it will be called, is going to be the fourth main installment of the franchise.

While only attendees of CinemaCon were privy to the preview footage, nobody had to sign any NDAs.

Warner Bros. presented what was essentially a sizzle reel of very rapidly cut moments from The Matrix Resurrections' action scenes.

Not much of the story has been spoiled for those who saw it.

Lana Wachowski is writing and directing Resurrections.

It is going to be a "love story" with time travel elements, but no going back into the past.

We should be seeing a trailer for The Matrix Resurrections soon, as the movie will premiere this year, on the 22nd of December in theatres and on HBO Max.
