F9 is getting a director's cut included in Blu-ray release

Despite premiering amidst concerns of the recent COVID-19 Delta variant surge, F9 grossed over $700 million worldwide.

We shouldn't expect F9's box office numbers to go up by a significant amount anytime soon.

However, the film should still keep on pulling in profit for the months to come.

As per Vin Diesel, F9 is going to get a director's cut included with its Blu-ray  version, releasing on September 21.

Soon after F9 was released in theaters, Universal confirmed that the tenth film was coming in 2023 with filming starting next year.

Diesel has the perfect idea to help tide fans over the long wait.

Diesel took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of what's coming in F9 director's cut.

The director's cut appears to feature more confrontations between Diesel and John Cena's characters in the film.

In addition to this, there are also two notable sequences in the director's cut tease that's not in the film.

One is set in space and the other sees Dom on top of what looks like a tank.

Diesel definitely wasn't lying when he said that the F9 director's cut is going to have more "Fast DNA."

In other Fast and Furious news, don't expect Dwayne Johnson to appear in the next two F&F films.

Johnson is sitting them out due to some bad blood between him and Diesel.
