The best video games for kids that are available today

It's best to let kids play games that are built specifically for younger audiences.

For example, Super Mario 3D World, which is, hands down, the most child-friendly game available on the Switch.

The same goes for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a game that will do wonders for a child with endless imagination.

Of course, how could we forget about Minecraft, a game used by educational institutions to teach problem-solving skills and creativity.

Meanwhile, Super Mario Maker 2 does a little bit of both Super Mario 3D World and Minecraft.

Kingdom Hearts III is also a crossover dream for kids filled with their favorite Disney characters and others from older gamer's childhoods as well.

The LEGO games franchise is as timeless as the toys themselves and it's impossible to single out one, so you might as well let your child choose.

Untitled Goose Game's premise is simple but it's this quality that also makes the game so enjoyable to play and watch.

Spyro games have always been child-friendly, and the modern remaster takes that up a notch while giving the classics a fresh coat of paint.

A true showcase of the PS5's ability to do away with loading screens and mesmerize you with next-gen graphics, Rift Apart is a game that even adults would buy for the eye candy alone.

Finally, Pokémon is a no-brainer for kids - they're all children's games that adults will enjoy as much as well.
