The Batman runtime is nearly three hours with credits

Zack Snyder's Justice League might have been a polarizing film, but you'd have to give Zack Snyder props for making a superhero film that's 242 minutes long.

The next DC Comics film isn't going to be quite a timesink, but it appears that Matt Reeves' The Batman is going to have a long runtime.

According to IMAX Melbourne, The Batman is going to have a 176-minute runtime.

This would make it the third-longest superhero film, just 5 minutes shy of 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

However, Rotten Tomatoes still has The Batman's runtime listed at 2 hours and 13 minutes, which is 43 minutes shorter.

Ultimately, it's not the length of The Batman that matters. Instead, it is how well The Batman will do at the global box office.

Warner Bros. and DC Comics haven't exactly had a good string of showings since 2020.

Can Matt Reeves' The Batman be DC's first big commercial and critical hit in at least two years? We'll find out more on March 4.
