After working on the Batman: Arkham trilogy of games, Rocksteady Studios have had their hands full with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The upcoming superhero game, which features the titular band of misfits, was first revealed at least year's DC FanDome.

However, aside from snippets and updates, fans haven't had a chance to see the game in action - until now.

WB Games and Rocksteady decided to humor fans with an extensive look at the gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The open-world action-adventure game is reportedly set in the same universe and timeline as the Batman: Arkham games.

However, the setting will go from Gotham to Metropolis as the co-op title revolves around Task Force X having to take down the Justice League.

For some reason, the Justice League, including Green Lantern, Flash, and Superman, fall under Brainiac's control.

Because of this, it's now up to Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark, to save the day.

Judging from the first Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailer, you can tell that Rocksteady understood the assignment.

It will be interesting to see how the badly mismatched Suicide Squad will take out the most powerful superheroes in the world.

Unfortunately, Rocksteady still hasn't given Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League a proper release date.

At the moment, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's release window remains anytime in 2022.
