We've got some good news and some bad news for fans of Netflix's Stranger Things.

First up, the show is coming back for a fifth season. The bad news is that it's also going to be the last one.

Showrunners, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, recently announced the future of Stranger Things.

After a long wait, the duo finally confirmed that Netflix had renewed the show for a fifth season.

Also, the Duffer brothers finally gave Stranger Things season 4 a proper release date.

Much like several other Netflix shows that had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix split Stranger Things' fourth season into two parts.

Volume 1 will premiere on May 27 while Volume 2 will launch on July 1.

While it is unfortunate to see Stranger Things coming to an end, the two did tease that spin-offs could be on the docket.

Now that it's coming to an end, fans will have every reason to tune in to the show even more seeing that the creators already have an endgame planned.

Just how exactly Stranger Things will end is something that fans will have to wait for at least one more year to see.
