Sony is looking to invest in PC, mobile gaming, and live services

With the recent PC ports of the popular PC games, there is not a shred of doubt that Sony is currently looking to expand its player base and bring more to the table.

The first-ever release of the popular God of War (2018) on the PC garnered enough success for the executives over at PlayStation to further explore the investment opportunities in the industry.

In an interview with Reuters, Herman Hulst, the head of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, confirmed that Sony is looking to expand its investment portfolio on PC, mobile, and live services.

Given the recent success of the PC ports, it won't be a surprise if the company looks into such investments.

Sony has acquired multiple studios recently. One of the acquired game development studios is Savage Game Studios tasked with the mobile sector of PlayStation.

Given the rate at which Sony is porting its exclusive games over to PC, we can definitely expect to see more in the coming years.
