Krafton is working on a PUBG animated series helmed by Adi Shankar

PUBG was initially released back in March 2017 and has since become one of the most popular battle royale shooters available.

Now, it looks like Krafton wants to expand on the game's universe.

No, we're not just talking about jumping to another platform. Rather, we're talking about an animated series.

At this point, we know very little about the PUBG animated series, or if it will even be about PUBG at all.

The only thing that Krafton Inc. announced was that it is in development with Adi Shankar at its helm.

Having said that, we can assume that the project is in safe hands. Unfortunately, Krafton declined to reveal more information about the animated series.

Of course, exactly what the PUBG animated series will be about is in the hands of Shankar.

The massive PUBG universe is literally at his disposal.

Shankar mentioned in the press release that he is looking forward to "revealing to everybody what winning a chicken dinner looks like.

This suggests that the project won't deviate too much from the battle royale theme of its source material.
