Sony and Microsoft changed the game when it came out with the PS4 Pro and Xbox Series S/X, respectively.
Now, the question on everyone's mind is, will Sony and Microsoft come out with another mid-generation upgrade for the Xbox Series S/X and the PS5?
Although neither has made any announcement, TCL appears to have leaked sensitive information.
In its presentation, TCL showed a timeline of both gaming consoles, starting with the Xbox One and the PS4 in 2013 followed by the PS4 Pro and Xbox One then the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
The last part of the slide lists the new Xbox Series S/X and the PS5 Pro, which might come out in 2023/2024.
Of course, just because TCL said it, this doesn't mean it's coming out.
Most likely, TCL is just making an educated guess based on the last-gen, which saw a 3/4-year gap between the last-gen consoles and their mid-cycle upgrades.
With the supply issue and chip shortage going on, we might not see new consoles from Microsoft and Xbox until 2025 if not 2026.
