As promised, players will have to pay more for Gran Turismo 7 on the PS5

We've got some bad news for folks who were hoping for Sony to get charitable for the second time in a row.

Gran Turismo 7 will cost more if you want to upgrade the PS4 version to the PS5.

Just in case you didn't know, Gran Turismo 7 is going to arrive on March 4, 2022.

A little over half a year before then, Sony revealed the different purchase options for Gran Turismo 7.

Sony detailed that you'll have to pick up the more expensive anniversary edition if you want to play both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Gran Turismo 7.

Meanwhile, if you want to upgrade, that will come with a $10 fee too.

If you bought the physical copy of Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4, you'll need the standard PS5 for it to work.

The $10 fee to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 shouldn't come as a surprise.

Sony already confirmed this earlier this year with Horizon Forbidden West.

TLDR; if you want to play Gran Turismo 7 on both the PS4 and PS5, you'll have to pay for it
