Principal filming has been completed for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series which Disney plans to release on its own streaming service.

Starring Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi master, the series will bridge some of the events between Star Wars episodes 3 and 4.

Several sources have reported that principal photography has wrapped up successfully.

Post-production is definitely going to be a lot of work, and thus the show has yet to receive a release date.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will focus on McGregor's character as he enters exile on Tatooine following the fall of the Jedi order in Revenge of the Sith.

Hayden Christensen has been officially confirmed to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker.

The show is definitely going to drop some emotional bombshells during its storyline.

Fellow Prequel Trilogy actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Owen and Beru Lars will also appear.

Alongside these returning actors reprising their roles, Obi-Wan Kenobi features a star studded cast of newcomers.

Disney is currently working on a large portfolio of Star Wars content exclusively for its streaming service, Disney+.

Obi-Wan Kenobi does not yet have a release date.
