After more than a year of waiting, we can reveal that the premiere of season 2 of The Witcher is just a few months away.

The first-ever WitcherCon brought fans an official announcement about when Season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher will premiere.

In addition to this, the online celebration of all things The Witcher also treated fans to a few more glimpses of the upcoming season.

The eight-episode follow-up season to Netflix's The Witcher will drop on December 17, 2021.

The biggest teaser dropped at WitcherCon offered an extensive look at what fans should expect when season 2 arrives.

Titles for all but the final episode of the season were also revealed.

Most speculation points to season 2 of The Witcher following the events of the first long-form Witcher novel, Blood of Elves.

We can expect Ciri's training to make up most of the flashbacks while the present-day story follows Geralt and Ciri leaving Kaer Morhen to go to Ellander's Temple School.

On the grander scale of things, the novels show a second war between the Northern Kings and Nilfgaard taking place.

It will be interesting to see just how much the TV show deviates from the source material.
