The new Chucky trailer proves that the Child's Play franchise is here to slay

Back in February 2018, Child's Play franchise creator, Don Mancini, was revealed to be working with producer David Kirschner on a new Chucky TV series.

Later that same year, Brad Dourif's involvement was confirmed as he returns to be the voice of Chucky.

Now, in 2021, the Chucky TV series is set to wrap up filming on August 11.

The first trailer was dropped at Comic-Con 2021 and showcases the series' maniacal evil doll, Chucky, in all his modern glory.

While all that we know of the Chucky TV series so far is the synopsis, there is a trailer that we can finally watch.

For now, all we know about the Chucky TV series is that the series will revolve around a gay teen protagonist

Aside from Dourif and Mancini, Vincent and Elise will reprise their roles as Andy and Kyle, respectively, along with Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce and Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine.

The new Chucky TV series is expected to premiere on USA and Syfy on October 12, 2021.
