Microsoft Flight Simulator sees performance gains after code rewrite

Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most graphically beautiful games available right now.

Unfortunately, to run the game at 4K and 60 frames per second, you'll need a high-end PC, which sometimes isn't even enough.

Asobo Studio just addressed this problem with Sim Update 5.

The development team recently hosted a livestream showcasing the difference in how Microsoft Flight Simulator performs with Sim Update 5.

Microsoft Flight Simulator performed nearly twice as well on a PC with an i7-9700K and Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card as a result of Sim Update 5.

Sim Update 5 makes changes to the in-game engine. This results in Microsoft Flight Simulator coming list resources without compromising on performance and graphics.

Sim Update 5 arrives on the same day as the Xbox Series S/X version of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
