Microsoft just joined the rumor mill by suggesting that it sees GTA 6 coming out by 2024.
Microsoft mentioned the GTA 6 release window in a response to the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) as it tries to convince the regulatory body, among others, that it be allowed to purchase Activision Blizzard.
In its statement, the tech giant argues Activision Blizzard's massive library of IPs doesn't make up enough of the video game market to hurt competition.
Furthermore, Microsoft uses a laundry list of other big-name games and publishers in its bid to make Call of Duty look less lucrative.
Specifically, Microsoft singles out Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two, and the upcoming GTA sequel, Grand Theft Auto 6.
However, Microsoft cites a very public article in the document, which makes you wonder if the tech giant really knows what's going on by the scenes over at Rockstar Games.
