Everything we know about Marvel's Midnight Suns by Firaxis
By Ray Ampoloquio August 25, 2021
Hands up if you thought that the rumors of Firaxis Games' X-COM-like Marvel game were true. No one? Don't worry. We don't blame you.
Yet, that is exactly what Firaxis announced at Gamescom 2021.
The game, which is based on the Midnight Sons comic team, is the first licensed project between Firaxis Games and Marvel.
For Midnight Suns, Firaxis keeps several of the classic members of the Midnight Sons.
At the same time, Firaxis also added other more mainstream characters like Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Captain America, and Iron Man, among others.
Firaxis is also going to introduce a unique character to Midnight Suns in The Hunter.
The developers claim that The Hunter is a fully customizable character that they created specifically to help players immerse themselves in the world of Midnight Suns.
What is perhaps the most interesting thing about The Hunter is that they are the offspring of Lilith.
Lilith will serve as the primary antagonist of Midnight Suns.
Judging from what we've seen so far, Midnight Suns is the Marvel game that was leaked months ago.
Because Firaxis is well-known for its strategy games, we shouldn't expect Midnight Suns to deviate much from the studio's standard gameplay.
Of course, it will be interesting to see what kind of unique changes Firaxis will make to fit the characters.
In any case, Firaxis are the makers of some of the best strategy games out there.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is expected to release in March 2022.
