Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power new release date revealed

The schedule of the first episode of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power has been moved three hours earlier to Sept 1, 9 PM EDT / Sept 2, 2 AM UK.

The series premiere will consist of two episodes and has an expected run time of three hours.

The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is a prequel to the LOTR trilogy and is set in the second age of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth.

The timeline is thousands of years before the events in the Lord of the Rings movies and around the time when Sauron had Rings of Power forged.

The plot of the series revolves around the Dark Lord Sauron and the creation of the rings.

We also get to know the recipients of the rings and how they became corrupted by the One Ring's power.

The corruption of the One Ring eventually led to the War of the Last Alliance. After the defeat of Sauron, the One Ring was lost for centuries, which sets up the events of Peter Jackson’s trilogy.
