Kevin Feige reveals Marvel’s Avengers status

Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, has revealed the status of the Avengers and confirmed that the greatest superhero team ever assembled in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now inactive.

Marvel’s boss made this revelation while speaking at the D23 Expo, a biennial event hosted by Disney’s official fan club, last Saturday.

He added that a new team, the Thunderbolts, will fill the vacuum left behind.

Marvel’s Phase Four will end in 2022 with the final movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, set to be released on November 11.

Then, Marvel will kick off Phase Five with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on February 17, 2023.

Marvel's Thunderbolts is part of Phase 5 of the MCU and will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
