Disney's latest film is the big-screen adaptation of one of its most popular tourist attractions, the Jungle Cruise.

Jungle Cruise will star the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Jack Whitehall.

Jungle Cruise first debuted in 1955 and is one of the few attractions that Walt Disney had a hand in the creation that remains popular today.

In the movie, the skipper role will be taken on by Frank (Johnson) who is hired by Dr. Houghton (Blunt) to travel downriver in the Amazon rainforest onboard Frank's boat, La Quila.

En route to finding the Tree of Life, which supposedly has the power to heal people, the two find themselves competing against other expeditions and braving the elements.

Jungle Cruise was originally planned to release in theaters last July 2020.

However, Disney decided to delay the film for an entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jungle Cruise is now set to premiere on July 30.

Just like most major releases this 2021, Jungle Cruise will see a simultaneous release both in theaters and on Disney+ as part of Premier Access.
