John Cena responds to Dave Bautista's statement about not wanting to work together

By Ray Ampoloquio August 28, 2021

Bautista last wrestled on April 7, 2019, when he lost to Triple H at Wrestlemania 35.

One day later, he officially announced his retirement from the WWE.

With an intensified focus on his movie career, Bautista's worked with pretty much everybody big (both literally and figuratively).

Bautista is even set to star with Jason Momoa in a buddy cop movie.

However, it appears that the MCU star doesn't want to be in the same movie as other former WWE superstars, John Cena and The Rock.

Earlier this week, Bautista responded with "Nah I'm good" to a tweet that suggested he should star in a potential movie with Cena and The Rock.

In a later statement, the Army of the Dead actor clarified that he preferred "not to be lumped in".

John Cena's response to this in a later interview was very classy.

According to Cena, there is no "beef" between himself and Bautista.

Cena added that Bautista was one of the nicest guys around and that he just wants to be "identified and recognized for his work".

So, there you have it, there is no feud between Cena and Bautista.

So while it's unfortunate we won't be seeing all three of them in a movie together, it's nice to see that these actors respect each other.

In other news, fans can look forward to seeing John Cena reprise his The Suicide Squad role as Peacemaker in his own TV show.
