A new Spider-Man trilogy featuring Tom Holland might not be guaranteed yet

In total, Tom Holland's Spider-Man has appeared in five different MCU films.

During that time, Holland's films have grossed around $9 billion at the global box office, with his solo films making up roughly $2 billion of that amount.

With such a lucrative venture, it makes sense for Sony and Disney to continue working together.

No Way Home producer Amy Pascal confirms this as much by saying that "Sony and Disney are already getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland."

Unfortunately, this contradicts other statements made by Holland and insiders to The Hollywood Reporter.

Holland previously stated that No Way Home felt like the end of a trilogy and that he would not like to continue playing Spider-Man after he turns 30.

Meanwhile, THR confirmed from its insider sources that a new Spider-Man trilogy with Holland is not in the works.

For now, all fans can do is to wait for more news from either Sony, Marvel, or Disney.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to come swinging into theaters on December 17, 2021.
