The Chrono Cross remake leaked earlier this year might actually be true

Square released Chrono Cross at the tail end of what many consider as the golden era of JRPGs.

The 1999 JRPG title is effectively a sequel to 1995's Chrono Trigger as both are set in the same universe.

Unfortunately, while Chrono Trigger has been ported over to other platforms, Chrono Cross remains exclusive to the original PlayStation.

However, if the recent rumors are to be believed, this is all about to change real soon.

According to Nick Baker, the earlier GeForce Now leak is true and that a multi-platform Chrono Cross remaster or remake is coming.

In addition to this, several others report that Sony is announcing a big remake or remaster in December.

Chrono Cross was both a critical and commercial success, which suggests that a remake or a remaster is a pretty big deal.

At this point, the only thing that audiences can do is to wait for Sony to make an announcement.
