Halo Infinite might have failed to sustain its momentum out of the gates, but it's not for the lack of effort.
343 Industries is doing everything possible so it can bring players back, including a long-rumored battle royale mode.
The report claims that the new mode, Tatanka, might add side quests similar to Halo Infinite's single-player campaign.
The same source believes that 343 could release the battle royale mode as soon as the game's third season.
Certain Affinity is also reportedly testing "a sort of PvPvE kind of thing".
If this is true, then Halo Infinite's take on the popular genre might make the game more appealing to a wider non-Halo audience.
343 Industries and Certain Affinity are certainly not lacking in ambition, but we're hoping that their best efforts live up to the expectations.
