Government regulations shut down PUBG Esports in China

China continues to find ways to impose video game-related bans in the country.
However, while most regulations aren't directed at a particular title, the latest ban seems to single out PUBG: Battlegrounds.

Yibo Zhang, the Vice President of China Culture Management Association Esports Committee confirmed that the NAPP hasn't approved PUBG yet.
The ban is just the latest in a series of regulations by the Chinese government concerning video games.
Just recently, China moved to restrict the playing time of minors in video games.

It will be interesting to see what is going to come out of the latest government regulation.
Several companies based in China own large ownership stakes in some of the biggest video game companies in the world.
