Gotham Knights finally gets a release date

After a year-long delay, WB Games Montreal's action-RPG co-op title finally has a release date.

The studio confirmed Gotham Knights' October 25 release date on Wednesday.

The highly anticipated project didn't make it to the State of Play showcase, the news is still very much welcome.

WBIE first revealed Gotham Knights at the first DC FanDome event in 2020.

The game features a Batman-less Bat-family with Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood all coming to Gotham following the apparent demise of their adoptive father.

The story of the game will revolve around the Court of Owls, a secretive organization that has existed for centuries with roots that are embedded deep within Gotham City.

Although Gotham Knights' October release date still falls within the 2022 release window, it spells bad news for WBIE's other DC Comics game.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is still technically set to launch this year, but it could be delayed so that WBIE can stagger both comic book video games.
