Ghostwire: Tokyo delayed to early 2022

By Ray Ampoloquio July 13, 2021

Tango Gameworks' latest IP, since working on The Evil Within games, is Ghostwire: Tokyo and it was revealed at E3 2019.

The PS5-exclusive title was later stated to be releasing sometime in 2021.

Unfortunately, while the game is still on track to launch, it won't happen this year.

Unlike The Evil Within survival-horror games, Shinji Mikami's next IP will be more of an action-adventure title with horror elements.

Ghostwire: Tokyo was initially scheduled to release before the end of 2021.

However, according to the game's Twitter account, it won't arrive until early 2022 now.

Tango Gameworks is delaying Ghostwire: Tokyo to give the development team more time to rest while working on it.

Either way, an announcement from Tango Gameworks was bound to come soon, albeit not about a delay.

If this announcement has left you with a Ghostwire-sized itch, don't worry.
