Game Boy games reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch soon

The Nintendo Switch is going to get an influx of older titles soon, if new rumors are to be believed.

The possibility of Nintendo launching some Game Boy and Game Boy Color era games on the hybrid handheld have floated around for years.

Now, this possibility might become reality.

Ever since the console has been out, cyber sleuths among the fandom have probed deep inside both hardware and software.

Findings included pre-loaded emulators, some of which are unused as of yet.

One of these was a Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator called Hiyoko.

Multiple insiders with a proven track record of correct predictions have reported that such titles will be popping up 'soon'.

Nintendo Life and NateDrake have stated that their sources claim Game Boy titles will be launched on the Switch soon.

They would release as downloadable purchases via Nintendo Switch Online.

If true, we expect to hear official news as part of the next Nintendo Direct.

The next broadcast is expected to occur sometime in September.
