Jon Stewart drops debut trailer for his TV return, The Problem

By Ray Ampoloquio July 21, 2021

After stepping down from The Daily Show back in 2015, Jon Stewart has had a relatively quiet presence in the industry.

In late 2020, it was announced that the prolific TV host will be returning to the small screen via Apple TV+.

The Problem With Jon Stewart is an aptly named TV show that will have one-hour long episodes that will take a close look at current events, as well as issues.

Now, we finally have our first look at it.

The Problem will serve as Stewart's first project under his multi-year deal with Apple TV+ and his first TV hosting gig in more than half a decade.

Stewart is well-known for his time spent in The Daily Show, which is now hosted by Trevor Noah.

Jon Stewart would go on to appear as the face of the TV show from 1999 until 2015.

During his time as the host, the show picked up 20 Primetime Emmys.

Since stepping down, Stewart has directed films and served as the executive producer on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

To hype up the premiere of the TV show, Stewart himself dropped a faux trailer for Cum Dog Billionaires.

The trailer spoofs Jeff Bezos' space flight with Jason Alexander standing in as the Amazon CEO with Tracy Morgan and Adam Pally appearing on the trailer, along with a stray cat.

Speaking of appearing, the trailer also revealed that The Problem With Jon Stewart will premiere in September 2021.
