Alpha tests are par for the course when it comes to big shooter titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield.

These early playtests give a handful of players a chance to check out what the latest Call of Duty game is like.

At the same time, it also allows the dev team to test out certain features and get a feel of what players think about them.

The latest intel suggests when the first Call of Duty: Vanguard might take place and what the file size is.

Activision reportedly plans on holding a two-day PlayStation-exclusive Alpha test for Vanguard starting on August 27.

Another report shed some light on important details about the Vanguard Alpha test.

The leaker speculates that the Vanguard Alpha, Champion Hill, pre-load will start on August 26.

The leaker also added that Activision plans on holding another PlayStation-exclusive Open Beta test from September 10 to 12.

After this, Activision is going to hold an Open Beta test for all platforms from September 16 to September 20.

We wouldn't be surprised if Activision ends up squeezing in a technical preview though.

343 Industries was the first to hold a technical test for Halo Infinite.

Electronic Arts did the same thing later on with Battlefield 2042.

With August 27 just a few days away, we can expect Activision to start dropping details about the Alpha test soon.
