A review round-up of the live-action adaptation of Uncharted

By Ray Ampoloquio February 14, 2022

Uncharted is second only to Gran Turismo with 28 million units sold, which is amazing when you consider that Naughty Dog's action-adventure series started in 2007.

So, when news of an Uncharted live-action movie popped up, fans couldn't contain their excitement.

Having said that, critics had a chance to check out Uncharted ahead of everyone else to share their thoughts.

Unfortunately, the early reviews of Uncharted do not paint the franchise's cinematic outing in a good light.

The consensus appears to be that the film missed the mark compared to its source material.

However, most critics agree that Tom Holland's performance stood out and that the film had its moments.

Unfortunately, the bad mostly outweighs the good in Uncharted, resulting in mostly bad reviews.

The good news is that audiences will probably still watch Uncharted in theaters once it premieres on February 18.

We'll find out then if Sony's investment in its best-selling franchise is going to pave the way for a new movie franchise.
