The latest cinematic Batman reboot starring Robert Pattison as the titular dark knight is set for release early next year.

Colin Farrell will play the role of Oswald Cobblepot, also known as the Penguin.

Farrell's take on the character already made headlines before when we got a brief glimpse of the extensive prosthetic work needed to turn the actor into the supervillain.

Under all the makeup, Farrell can barely be recognized at all.

Recently the actor spoke to MTV about the production, discussing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Farrell spoke about his role in The Batman, revealing that the Penguin will only appear in "5 or 6 scenes".

While not as widely recognized as the Joker or Scarecrow, the Penguin has been a major mainstay of Batman's rogue's gallery since the start.

The Batman is slated to hit theatres on March 4, 2022.
