Call of Duty: Vanguard's massive file size has been leaked

Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Now, other information about the game is beginning to leak out.

In this particular instance, just how much hard-drive space Vanguard is going to take up once it is installed on gaming consoles.

It appears that you're going to have to make plenty of room for Vanguard once it arrives in November.

The Call of Duty franchise is especially notorious for obscene file sizes.

Thus, it only makes sense for people to assume that Vanguard is going to take up quite a bit of space.

According to a Microsoft Listing for Call of Duty: Vanguard, the game clocks in at a chunky 270.05 GB.

However, this is because the listing is for the cross-gen bundle of Vanguard.

The truth is that Vanguard's file size is actually much more manageable for just the Xbox One or the Xbox Series S/X versions.

While nearly 100GB isn't exactly small, it is relatively slim compared to its predecessors.

However, we do expect the listed file size to balloon down the line.

We wouldn't be surprised if Vanguard ends up taking up as much space as Black Ops Cold War at 250GB.
