Battlefield 2042 has been officially revealed by EA DICE. Here's everything you need to know.

BF 2042 is scheduled to release for the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One on October 22, 2021. There will also be an open beta, the details of which will be revealed shortly.

The next-gen console versions of the game will cost $69.99. Others will be $59.99.

A five minute long gameplay trailer has been released.

Battlefield 2042 will feature the same epic battles staged across enormous maps that we have come to love.

There will be no single player campaign. Instead, the story will evolve through the game's multiplayer modes: All Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and a third mode that is yet to be revealed. None of the modes are battle royale, yet.

Battlefield 2042 will launch with seven giant maps. PC, Xbox Series X and PS5 can have up to 128 player on a single map. Xbox One and PS4 maps can have just 64 players though.

Classes have been replaced by Specialists in Battlefield 2042. There will be 10 Specialists at launch with another four being available via Battle Pass.
