343 shoots down rumors of Halo 5 on the PC
By Ray Ampoloquio September 15, 2021
PC gamers have had the opportunity to enjoy nearly every Halo game for a while now.
We say nearly because there's one Halo game that 343 Industries refuses to port over to the PC platform.
The 2015 title, Halo 5: Guardians, is still only available to play on the Xbox One.
The worst part? There's virtually zero chance that this will change.
In case you missed it, there was a massive GeForce Now leak that went viral earlier this week.
Nvidia later released a statement that either confirmed or denied the contents of the leak, depending on how you look at it.
The leak contained a lot of useful info.
This includes details about Halo 5: Guardians coming to the PC.
However, according to Halo community director Brian Jarrard, this isn't in the cards at the moment.
When Halo Infinite is released in December, Halo 5 will remain the only Halo game not available on the PC.
This obviously leaves PC players wanting to play Halo 5: Guardians.
It certainly doesn't help that the rest are already available via The Master Chief Collection.
Hopefully, 343 does work on porting Halo 5: Guardians to the PC after Halo Infinite.
Even if Halo 5 is one of the weaker Halo games, it's still nice to be able to play through it on the PC.
Until then, fans can look forward to playing Halo Infinite in December.
343 is expected to hold a playtest for Halo Infinite on September 22.
