No one is a bigger ambassador of the Fast and Furious franchise than Vin Diesel. The 55-year-old actor recently gave his Instagram followers a sneak peek at his co-stars on the set of the upcoming Fast X film.

In the first image, Diesel shared a still of himself and Jason Momoa with the caption:
Two weeks away from the FastX trailer launch!!!!
Blessed to be a part of a Saga that encourages such great work from the many amazing artists that have made this the world’s Saga! A still from set after an intense, week long scene with my brother @prideofgypsies 🙏🏽
The second image shared was a set photo of Michelle Rodriguez holding a bowl of food, with the caption:
Happy creative Sunday…
Doing what you love is a blessing… doing it with the people you love… that’s everything.
Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz, has been a principal cast member of the franchise since its humble beginnings in 2001's The Fast and the Furious. On the other hand, Jason Momoa will be joining the franchise for the first time, playing the role of Dante, the film's main antagonist. Momoa has previously described his character as "sadistic," stating:
He’s very sadistic and androgynous and he’s a bit of a peacock… He’s got a lot of issues, this guy. He’s definitely got some daddy issues.
The Aquaman star has also expressed his desire to pursue a variety of roles going forward to avoid being typecast as a macho actor.
It's been hard because people always think I’m just this dude who plays [macho characters]. But I want to be moved, I want something new. Things are changing, and even the villain roles I’m playing now are eccentric. I’m a peacock at the highest level and I’m having the time of my life.
However, life on the set of Fast X has not been all sunshine and rainbows. Last year, long-time series director, Justin Lin, quit his job as the director of the film. According to THR, Lin stepped down from his role after a spat between him and Vin Diesel over the script. Lin is now one of the producers of the film, and Louis Leterrier has been hired to take over Lin's old job.
The French director, whose previous works include The Incredible Hulk and the first two Transporter films, already seems to have a fan on set. In an interview with THR, Michelle Rodriguez expressed her delight with Leterrier, saying:
He came with all this energy of love. We haven’t had that in Fast and Furious for a very long time where we get somebody excited who’s a real fan and who really wants to take it places that it hasn’t gone before. We’ve been at it for 20 years, bro. After all that time, you get jaded and kind of forget what you do it for [until] a director like Louis comes in and reminds you, 'This is beautiful. Let’s go make magic.' We’re so lucky to have him bro.
Several actors, including Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Charlize Theron, and Cardi B are all set to reprise their roles in Fast X. Other than Jason Momoa, Danielle Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno will join the cast of the film.
Fast X is set to hit theaters on May 19.
