Tyson Fury is itching to get back in the ring, only this time he won't be wearing boxing gloves, or indeed any gloves at all. The two-time world heavyweight champion is focused on making a return to WWE following a five-month absence from wrestling.

Known as The Gypsy King, Fury made his WWE wrestling debut in October 2019 at the Crown Jewel, where he faced off against and defeated Braun Strowman. Afterward, he made an appearance in September last year at the WWE Clash at the Castle, where he stopped Austin Theory from interfering in the match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.
Since then, the English boxer has been missing in action. The Royal Rumble event on January 28 was supposed to mark his return, but his immigration issues made that impossible.
Fury was denied entrance into the US last year due to his connections to Daniel Kinahan, the alleged Irish organized crime boss. However, Fury has continued to hold out hope for a comeback. The 34-year-old boxer spoke about his imminent return in an interview with Give Me Sport, saying:
I’m hoping to get back in there soon. They’re doing Clash at the Castle 2 soon I think so I’m looking at maybe getting back in there. I’m looking at taking that heavyweight title for sure. If Roman Reigns vacates or something then maybe me and Drew can finally get that battle on.
That would undoubtedly be a pleasure for wrestling fans everywhere, but Fury won't be making an appearance any time soon unless he can quickly figure out his immigration status.
In the meantime, the WWE is doing just fine without Tyson Fury. Cody Rhodes recently booked his ticket to WrestleMania 39, after which the WWE confirmed that he'll be squaring off against Roman Reigns, with the promotion's most prestigious title on the line.
