Tyson Fury's immigration status complicates his WrestleMania appearance

The Gypsy King's involvement with Daniel Kinahan is the main cause of his US visa problems.

One of the biggest names from the boxing world to grace the wrestling world has been the two-time world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. Better known to his fans as The Gypsy King, Fury made his WWE debut at the Crown Jewel match on October 31, 2019, where he defeated Braun Strowman via countout. Fast forward to 2022, and Tyson is expected to be at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania event, but his immigration status is complicating the deal for WWE.

According to The U.S. Sun, WWE executives have had their eyes set on Fury making an appearance at the Royal Rumble Match in January and WrestleMania 39 in April, with an insider saying:

Tyson is well loved at the WWE and him popping up in any match and a run to Wrestlemania would generate huge headlines and fan interest. However his immigration status is proving tricky to deal with. Tyson and the legal team or getting this whole grey and tricky area resolved. But non-entry, quite simply put, means non-payment.

The 34-year-old boxer was banned entry into the US earlier this year as a result of his links to the purported Irish organized crime boss, Daniel Kinahan, and unfortunately, this is now costing him millions of dollars.

And people may not believe this but turning up for a match or being part of the shows, not even fighting, earns him several million dollars. So this issue with his working visa in the States is costing him a large amount of cash. The WWE works with foreign athletes all the time in aiding their visa processing for appearances. The legal team are on the sidelines offering support in this matter, but ultimately getting approval is on Tyson’s head and how US immigration assesses his case.

Fury reportedly earned $15 million for his participation in the Crown Jewel match.

Many wrestling fans are looking forward to seeing the English boxer return to WWE, but until his visa issues are resolved, Fury will not be smashing chairs over any wrestlers' heads anytime soon.

Speaking of boxers-turned-wrestlers, the Paul brothers are expected to take a more active role in the WWE in the next few months. The rumors suggest that Logan Paul could wrestle against John Cena at WrestleMania 39.
