Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set in the 1990s and adapts Hasbro's Beast Wars line of toys.

Shortly after the trailer premiered, Hasbro revealed the toy version of Mirage. In a historic moment for the franchise, Mirage sports an officially licensed Porsche altmode both on screen and in plastic form, signaling the end of a long period of apparent animosity between the car manufacturer and toy company.

At one point Porsche issued an official statement, reading "Transformers are not worthy [of] carrying the Porsche trademark. They are war machines and the toyline in no way represents the lifestyle and ideas which Porsche represents." - clearly, we've come a long way since then.
