The Rock is teasing a Joe Rogan Experience appearance

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised fans by voicing his support for the controversial podcast host.

The Joe Rogan Experience has a massive following with roughly around 11 million listeners tuning in to each episode that comes out. However, the popular podcast hasn't been without its controversies. Case in point, Rogan just cost Spotify billions in valuation for allegedly spreading false information on his podcast these past few months. But, in a surprising turn of events, the controversial host has got a fan in Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Having The Rock over for a JRE episode would be huge for Joe Rogan and Spotify.
Having The Rock over for a JRE episode would be huge for Joe Rogan and Spotify.

The Rock voiced his support in a reply to one of Rogan's recent Instagram posts,  The Hollywood superstar pointed out that Rogan is putting out "great stuff" that is "perfectly articulated." Although The Rock was not the only one to post a positive reply to Rogan's 10-minute response to the current situation, his comment is the one that stands out the most. Specifically, several readers took his comments about "coming on one day and breaking out the tequila" as a tease of a potential guest appearance in a future Joe Rogan Experience episode.

At the moment, the JRE podcast has more than 1,700 episodes. Surprisingly enough, The Rock is not part of the exclusive guest list. The future WWE Hall of Famer is one of the largest stars in Hollywood, both literally and figuratively. It was probably only a matter of time before he joined Joe Rogan in an episode.

Having said that, the stars could line up soon for a future JRE podcast featuring The Rock. The Black Adam star will likely spend the next couple of months promoting his upcoming DCEU debut ahead of its premiere on July 29. Johnson could hop on the JRE for an episode to discuss controversial topics while doing his press rounds.

Of course, this is all just speculation. We don't know what Johnson or Rogan is planning for the next few months. However, the fact that Johnson is open to appearing on the JRE suggests that it will eventually happen.

In other news, gamers are expecting to hear more from The Rock about his upcoming video game movie. A recent report suggests that The Rock was talking about starring in a live-action adaptation of Call of Duty. However, others believe that it was a tease for a Gears of War movie. Either way, The Rock has a hectic schedule ahead of him with back-to-back Red Notice sequels and future DCEU films as well as spin-offs, among others.
