We've got bad news if you're hoping for a family affair between Roman Reigns and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson over at this year's WrestleMania in April. As it turns out, the WWE has known for a while that The Rock might not be ready for a seismic face-off against his blood brother.

According to Dave Meltzer, the long-rumored high-profile showdown might not happen, despite Reigns already calling out The Rock, because the Hollywood superstar doesn't feel like he'll have enough time to get into playing shape.
The Rock vs Reigns would be the perfect way for Triple H to cap off his first WrestleMania, but the alternative isn't half-bad.
By bringing Cody Rhodes back for the Royal Rumble on Saturday, the WWE has at least secured Reigns a worthy opponent for WrestleMania 39. You could argue that Rhodes vs Reigns would be a better match even though it won't be as much of a draw for the upcoming two-day event in April. The two WWE superstars could trade barbs and promos over the next few months to build hype for their eventual clash.
Of course, anything can happen in the WWE, and The Rock is known for keeping things close to his chest. The 50-year-old superstar has kept himself in tremendous shape over the years. It'll be a decade since his last full-length match in 2013 and with WrestleMania 39 taking place on home turf, who knows?
As Triple H put it before, The Rock will always have that itch to compete.
The Brahma Bull is just one of the WWE legends the wrestling promotion is looking to line up for a match at WrestleMania 39. The other names that are being thrown around include John Cena and Stone Cold.
