We've got good news and better news for Resident Evil fans. Resident Evil 4 Remake is already out and The Mercenaries is coming soon after.

Capcom confirmed at Sony's March 2023 State of Play that The Mercenaries will be Resident Evil 4 Remake's first free post-launch update. But, at the time, we didn't know when it will be launched. Now, we have a date and it's much closer than expected.
To celebrate the launch of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom dropped a special launch trailer for the game, which cuts to a screen confirming the release date of The Mercenaries on April 7.
The Mercenaries is a mode from the original 2005 release. Capcom hasn't revealed many details about the upcoming DLC, but if it's like the game mode from the best Resident Evil game ever, you'll need to complete the single-player campaign first to access it.
But, hey, two weeks should be more than enough time for you to even casual fans to finish the remake of Resident Evil 4.
Speaking of, critics fawned over the modern re-release of the iconic survival horror title. Although some didn't agree with the changes it made, the consensus is that the Resident Evil 4 Remake is a good example of how to do remakes right.
