The Mandalorian star responds to fan’s apology about The Armorer character

Emily Swallow acknowledged the fan’s apology on Twitter and expressed her disappointment that her character was doubted in the first place.

Emily Swallow, who stars as The Armorer in the Disney+ Western space opera The Mandalorian, has taken to Twitter to acknowledge a fan’s apology for doubting her character’s intentions in the latest installment of the television series. The fan wasn't alone, following the events of the previous season.

Fans doubted the intentions of Emily Swallow's character in the latest installment of the Disney+ series.

In response to the fan’s tweet, which stated "@bigEswallz we all owe you a big apology for ever doubting your loyalty to Mandalore. Forgive us," Swallow responded "I'm not mad. Just disappointed."

Other fans of the television series joined in to plead forgiveness for their doubts. On the flip side, many other fans affirmed their belief in the character and stated that they never doubted her. A fan even tweeted, "Never questioned you for a minute. This is the way."

In the television series, Swallow’s character leads a faction of Mandalorians. However, during the show’s third season, many fans doubted her loyalty and suspected she was a spy for the Empire. They believed she was working against Din Djarin, Lady Bo-Katan Kryze, and other Mandalorians who had mounted efforts to reclaim their homeland of Mandalore.

There were many reasons for their suspicion. For instance, one fan claimed their suspicion arose from the fact that the character’s helmet resembled that of the show’s antagonist Moff Gideon. Another stated that the title of the seventh episode "The Spies" was the reason for their distrust.

Most of these hints were strenous at best. All of these theories were eventually laid to rest by the final episode given The Armorer was involved, and sometimes at the forefront, in the struggle to reclaim Mandalore for her people.

The Mandalorian follows bounty hunter Din Djarin and his adopted child Grogu on their space adventures and the challenges they face, especially from Imperial forces led by Moff Gideon. The series stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character and features a supporting cast that includes Swallow, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tait Fletcher, among others.

The Mandalorian Season 3 chronicled a united effort by the sons of Mandalore to reclaim their homeland.

Although Disney hasn’t officially announced another season of the show, creator Jon Favreau has confirmed that it will happen. In February, Favreau also revealed he has finished writing the show’s script.

Unfortunately, there is no telling when filming will begin and, by extension, when it will debut. Given there was a two year waiting period between the show’s second and third seasons, fans shouldn't expect a continuation soon.

Disney has plans for a Mandalorian feature film. The project, set to be helmed by Dave Filoni, will reportedly wrap up the different storylines of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and the forthcoming Ahsoka.

It is currently in pre-production with - stop us if you heard this one before - no news of when it will start filming or arrive in cinemas. The Mandalorian Seasons 1-3 are currently available on Disney+.
