Starfield-themed Xbox wireless controller and headset have leaked online

The limited edition peripherals will reportedly be announced at next month's Xbox Showcase, which starts on June 11.

A new Starfield-themed controller has been leaked.

Starfield will feature in next month’s Xbox Showcase. Microsoft reportedly has plans to announce Starfield-themed Xbox accessories at the event.

According to a new leak from reliable insider and dataminer billbil-kun, Microsoft will be revealing a special edition Xbox controller and wireless headset at the June 11 event. The leaker has a good track record of providing insider information about upcoming game releases.

The leak suggests that the limited edition Starfield controller will retail for $79.99. The wireless headset will reportedly be priced at $124.99.

Upon checking on the Xbox website, the Redfall-themed limited edition Xbox wireless controller is a bit more pricey as it retails for $84.99. The Xbox controller Remix edition is also priced at $84.99. It’s interesting that a much more popular and highly anticipated title like Starfield would have limited edition accessories priced lower than Redfall.

"With our recent information, we can confirm with certainty that the accessories codenamed "Ogden" and "Orren" are indeed an official Xbox wireless controller and headset in the Starfield colors" billbil-kun said of the upcoming limited edition accessories. "We also know that these will not be limited to the United States and will also be released in Europe."

The upcoming Xbox Showcase will be followed immediately by a Starfield Direct presentation. The standalone showcase for Starfield will feature a deep dive into Bethesda’s highly anticipated space exploration RPG.

Starfield was originally slated for launch last November. However, Bethesda announced in May that the game would be delayed to the first half of 2023. The studio made several announcements assuring fans that the game would be released in the first half of 2023.

Xbox recently released a Redfall-themed Xbox controller.

It was in March that Bethesda announced that the game would be delayed again. The studio is now targeting a release date of September 6.

"We have poured ourselves into this game and even I’m surprised how much we can pour, it is large," Starfield director Todd Howard said when the delay was announced. "But also this June we’re going to bring you into the studio, and give you a deep dive into the game at our Starfield Direct. There’s so much that we still have to show you."

The upcoming Starfield deep-dive will happen one year after the first gameplay was revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The 15-minute video teased Bethesda’s biggest game to date.

Starfield is the first title that Bethesda Game Studios has worked on since focusing on Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Playtesters have revealed that the game is Bethesda's most ambitious title ever

Starfield is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 6, 2023.
