It looks like 2020's SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated was just the start for Purple Lamp Studios. Now, two years later, THQ Nordic just revealed what the studio has been working on.

THQ Nordic gave audiences a 3-minute look at the platformer at a recent digital showcase. Unlike the initial reveal from last year, which only featured a cinematic, the new trailer was filled with gameplay footage.
As expected, a handful of fresh faces are returning for The Cosmetic Shake, including Gary, Patrick, and Squidward. We also saw platforming segments like a prehistoric version of the series' main setting, Bikini Bottom, as well as a wild west-themed location. SpongeBob is also wearing corresponding outfits to fit in with the themed locations.
The Cosmetic Shake will give SpongeBob several new abilities like taking out enemies using karate and gliding long distances using a pizza box. Several parts of the trailer also showed us SpongeBob riding on top of a giant boulder as well as a seahorse, because, why not?
Here's the official description of The Cosmetic Shake:
Are you ready, kids? SpongeBob returns to the screen in a new fantastic adventure! SpongeBob and Patrick are traveling to a multitude of different Wishworlds, each with its very own setting and rules, like the Wild West Jellyfish Fields or the Halloween Rock Bottom. Developed by Purple Lamp, who brought you Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, embark on this brand-new 3D platformer, coming soon to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo® Switch.

Unfortunately, The Cosmetic Shake doesn't have a release date yet. With so much gameplay already available, we're counting on the game hitting store shelves sooner rather than later.
As for THQ Nordic, the publisher is sitting on several upcoming video game releases like a new South Park game and another Alone in the Dark remake. The only thing missing now is Darksiders 4.
