The PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man games from Insomniac Games have been wildly successful, with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales having sold over 6.5 million copies since its release. It looks like Sony wants to add more to those numbers as they recently announced that the game will be coming to PC.
The announcement was posted in the PlayStation blog and included system requirements and pre-order bonuses, and a trailer for the game shows off PC-specific enhancements and bonus features. The remastered version of Spider-Man was released for the PC in August and was the second biggest release for PlayStation Studios after God of War.
PC enhancements and features
The new PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will include enhanced graphics, customizable settings, and support for a wide range of hardware configurations from high-end gaming rigs to portable gaming laptops.
The open-world action-adventure game will feature adjustable levels of ray-traced reflections. The title also adds new ray-traced shadows for outdoor light cast by the sun and moon to enhance the visual fidelity of New York both during the day and at nighttime.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been optimized for ultra-wide monitors and supports aspect ratios of 21:9 and 32:9, among more standard ones. There will even be support for PCs running triple monitors with an aspect ratio of 48:9.
The port also sports Nvidia DLSS 3.0 to improve performance. DLSS 3.0 is available with the latest Nvidia 40-series GPUs and combines DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex to boost frame rates. The game also supports NVIDIA DLSS 2, NVIDIA DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex.
The graphics menu will feature fully customizable settings and presets to optimize the gameplay experience. The customization options include crowd and traffic density, field of view and level of detail, and many more.
The game also has customizable control options for the keyboard and mouse and controllers. There will be full support for the DualSense controller when the device is connected via USB, as well as Steam Input. Players will experience adaptive trigger feedback and haptic response when using the DualSense controller.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is now available for pre-order on the Epic Games Store and Steam for $49.99. Preorders will include the T.R.A.C.K. Suit, Into the Spider-Verse Suit, early access to the Gravity Well, and three skill points to unlock abilities.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released for the PC on November 18, 2022.
