Battlefield gadgets leak featured

One of the most anticipated games of 2021, Battlefield 2042, is just a few months away from its full release, but the data miners and leakers have already gone to work.

We’ve known about the specialist-specific gadgets in Battlefield 2042 for quite some time. Now, a major leak showcasing all the specialist-independent gadgets that can be used by all the specialists, has occurred.

A renowned data miner who goes by the name temporyal on Twitter showcased an overview of these gadgets that can be equipped by any specialist. As it is a leak, these are subject to change, but it gives us a general idea of what to expect in the final game.

There are two slots and each slot has a set number of equip able gadgets.

  • Slot 1:
    • Medical Crate
    • Supply Crate
    • Anti-Tank Mine
    • Repair Tool
    • FIM-33 AA Missile
    • SOFLAM
    • Nav Beacon
    • Recoilless M5
  • Slot 2:
    • Frag Grenade
    • Incendiary Grenade
    • EMP Grenade
    • Smoke Grenade
    • C4
    • Proximity Sensor

From the above information, we can deduce that players won’t be restricted to being within a "set class” when customizing their character. Even if you’re an assault player, you can go for healing. You can also equip strong anti-vehicle weapons despite having a medical class and vice versa. The possibilities will now be endless, should these changes make it through to the final game. The above leak is based on the latest test build of the game and is subject to change upon full release.

A Reddit user who goes by the name isko990 has also leaked the user interface for the game’s kills, challenges, objectives, and ribbons, which pop up in-game by pressing the ‘TAB’ key on your keyboard. This interface was also captured from the latest playtest build and is subject to change in the final build.
