What is Sonic Speed Simulator?

Developed by Gamefam Studios, Sonic Speed Simulator is the official Sonic the Hedgehog Roblox game that lets you enter the world of the familiar SEGA mascot. While players can start off with the standard Roblox avatar, characters from the universe of Sonic can be unlocked. These include Sonic himself as well as his sidekick Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, and more.

Every playable character in Sonic Speed Simulator shares similar move sets such as Spin Attack, Spin Jump, and Spin Dash, among others. In addition, all characters can be measured by two key stats: Speed and Power. Speed, of course, is the distinctive element of all Sonic games. This lets you travel faster and do tricks like launching from a slope or running on walls. Power, on the other hand, determines your jumping. The more Power you have, the higher you can jump. These stats also influence the effectiveness of your special moves.

Are there Rings? Of course there are Rings to collect in Sonic Speed Simulator.

To improve your stats, players can collect Chaos Orbs during gameplay. These will give XP that is needed to raise your character’s levels. Another option to gain XP is by going through Sky Rings, which can be in hard to reach places on game maps, but do grant big XP rewards. Plus, you can gain small XP rewards by purchasing from the Sonic Speed Simulator in-game shops.

On that note, players can also equip Chao. The Chao act like pets and provide bonuses and special effects while active. Chao can have varying rarities, ranging from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Chaos, and Exotic.

Players can also collect Rings, which are the currency used for purchasing cosmetic items. Just as the characters and settings, cosmetics in Sonic Speed Simulator are inspired by elements from the famous SEGA games. These cosmetics also grant small bonuses when equipped, such as additional XP for the Chaos Orbs collected. The most recent addition are mounts, including hoverboards.

Sonic Speed Simulator offers a large open world to explore, as well as various modes and events. There are obstacle courses which also unlock new Zones.

With the newest update, a new NINJA theme is added to the game, including:

  • Unlock the new Kunoichi Amy skin
  • Unlock a new Fire Ninja Chao
  • Unlock a new Jitsu Trail
  • Get a Premium Samurai Chao
  • 3 New Time Trials In Diamond Terminal during the midweek
Tails gets the spotlight with new items to unlock such as Fake Metal Tails and Metal Blur Tail!
