Rockstar fixes major GTA Online bugs with February 28 update

Check out what's new in the latest title update released by Rockstar Games for Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online.

GTA Online reportedly brings in half a billion dollars in revenue for Rockstar Games annually.

Rockstar Games ended last month with a new update for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online after an earlier security patch aimed exclusively at fixing the security flaws on the PC version of the game earlier in the same month.

Update version 1.66 for GTA V has been available to download for a few days now. However, don't expect a ton from this title update for GTA 5.

According to the full patch notes, GTA 5's latest title update is more of a "stability" patch, so don't expect plenty of new content. The good news is that Rockstar fixed a ton of bugs found on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X versions of the game.

As GTA Online is now fully operational, players shouldn't worry too much about the earlier issues that plagued the game.

Rockstar made quick work of the security issue that made GTA Online virtually unplayable for a week.

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are currently busy working on Grand Theft Auto 6 and the presumed sequel to GTA Online.

However, amid the ongoing Activision Blizzard buyout by Microsoft, someone threw Take-Two into the mix. Current reports say Sony is eyeing Take-Two if Microsoft succeeds in purchasing Activision. We shouldn't expect a sale to go through until after Take-Two stock price inevitably surges following the official announcement of GTA 6.
