Rhea Seehorn joins Bad Boys 4 cast in undisclosed role

Rhea Seehorn is the third new cast member joining Bad Boys 4, which is finally under production after Will Smith's fiasco last year.

Bad Boys 4 starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as a pair of Miami police detectives who are quick to the draw and just as quick with a quip has cast Rhea Seehorn in an undisclosed role.

If you have seen Better Call Saul, you will recognize Rhea Seehorn as Saul Goodman's attorney girlfriend Kim Wexler.

Seehorn’s casting, which was reported by Deadline, comes after Smith and Lawrence provided a positive update on the film’s progress at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas last month.

The Better Call Saul star is the third new cast member for the action comedy film after Ioan Gruffudd, who is famous for his role as Reed Richards in 2005’s Fantastic Four and its sequel, as well as Eric Dane, who starred as Cal Jacobs in the critically acclaimed HBO television series Euphoria.

Seehorn's performance in the AMC legal crime drama series, which was a spin-off to Breaking Bad, earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama. She has another Primetime Emmy Award for her role in the short comedy series Cooper’s Bar.

Apart from Smith and Lawrence, Bad Boys 4 will see Paola Núnez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Alexander Ludwig reprise their roles from the third film. The film will also see Tasha Smith replace Theresa Randle after the latter’s exit from the franchise for undisclosed reasons.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, both of whom directed the franchise’s third installment, Bad Boys for Life, are helming this installment, too. Chris Bremner, who had writing credit for Bad Boys for Life, penned the script for Bad Boys 4 while Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Doug Belgrad return to produce.

Bad Boys 4 started filming last month in Atlanta, Georgia.

On the other hand, Lawrence serves as an executive producer along with Jon Mone, James Lassiter, Chad Oman, Barry Waldman, and Mike Stenson.

Bad Boys 4 is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia. At the moment, we know next to nothing about the film’s plot details. Apart from Dane, who will star as the villain, we also have no information on what roles the new cast members will play. However, we expect this to change as production progresses.

By the way, Bad Boys 4 is not the only project that Seehorn is currently involved with. The 51-year-old is reportedly reuniting with Vince Gilligan, Better Call Saul creator, on a secret Apple TV+ project.

Also, Smith is slowly getting back into Hollywood’s good graces after his disgraceful showing at last year’s Oscar Awards. Recently, news emerged that Netflix had resumed work on a project that involves him, which it had placed on hold after his Oscars saga.

The Men in Black actor will also reportedly reprise his role as the genie in a rumored Aladdin sequel.

While there is no conclusive release date for Bad Boys 4, it is due to arrive in theaters sometime next year.
