Respawn Entertainment Drops New Trailer for Apex Legends Legacy

After Mayhem brought us Season 8 and Fuse, Apex Legends Legacy will introduce a brand-new legend for Season 9, as revealed by the newest addition to the Stories from the Outland video series.

Valkyrie's arrival in Apex Legends could very well signal the introduction of titans into Apex Legends.

Who is Valkyrie?

An old Titanfall 2 antagonist makes an appearance in the latest Stories from the Outlands episode.

As previously mentioned, Respawn Entertainment dropped a new Stories from the Outlands video.

Titled Northstar, the all-new episode dives deep into the in-game lore. In particular, the eight-minute-long visual feast acts as promotional material for the upcoming Legacy update, as well as the Apex Legend's newest playable character named Valkyrie.

Not much is known about Valkyrie as of the moment. However, her arrival might just confirm the earlier rumors of more Titanfall content coming to Apex Legends. One of the most telling signs comes in the form of Valkyrie's antagonistic lineage.

According to the in-game lore, Valkyrie is the daughter of the Viper, who, for those who've forgotten, is an Apex Predator killed by Titanfall 2's protagonist and playable character, Jack Cooper. In the Stories from the Outlands video, Valkyrie appears to have a conversation with another Titanfall 2 antagonist, Kuben Blisk. Then, just right before the episode ends, Northstar treats fans to a glimpse of the Northstar titan in Rampart's shop.

With that said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together. Valkyrie's abilities will likely tie into the titan Northstar in some form.

Unfortunately, we'll have no way to know for sure. We'll have to wait until Respawn Entertainment releases a brand-new gameplay trailer in anticipation of the launch of Season 9 in May.

What Other Changes Will Apex Legends Legacy Bring?

Judging from the description, you wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of a properly aimed shot from the Bocek Bow.

Respawn Entertainment almost always sees to it that they add a new weapon for players to mess around with for a new season. Season 9 is no exception. Legacy will add a brand-new weapon that's actually been teased and leaked for a while now. In addition to the new weapon, Legacy will also bring new updates to the in-game map, Olympus.

Much like Valkyrie, details on the other changes coming in Season 9 of Apex Legends remains scarce. All we can be sure of is that Olympus will look drastically different and that the new weapon is the Bocek Bow.

If we go by the description, Olympus should at least see far more vegetation and plant life. Meanwhile, the Bocek Bow's in-game description is pretty telling of how dangerous the weapon is.

When Is Apex Legends Legacy Going to Arrive?

While Respawn Entertainment did not drop a brand-new gameplay trailer for Apex Legends, the developers did confirm that Season 9 of Apex Legends will arrive on May 4.

In other news, Respawn Entertainment will also launch Apex Legends Mobile in the Philippines and India for a limited beta period later this month of April.
